Transformative Justice Under Authoritarianism

Building our 2023 Transnational Transformative Justice Convening and 2024 Transformative Justice Knows No Borders report, we're checking back in with Yo No Fui (“It Wasn’t Me!”) a collective in Argentina that uses art, poetry, and popular education to organize across prison walls with incarcerated queer folks and women in Argentina. We'll be talking about abolitionist organizing rooted in transformative justice in the current context of Argentina under the authoritarian regime of Javier Gerardo Milei, elected in 2023, how Yo No Fui draws on lineages of Argentine resistance by mothers, piquetera/os, and feminist strikers to push back, and opportunities for shared learning and solidarity.

Spanish interpretation and live captioning will be available.
